Are there any content considerations? My 5 (almost 6 at this point) year old is reading - he loved the Hidden Scrolls series, so I'm just trying to figure out if these would all be appropriate, or if any would be too dramatic/suspenseful/scary or anything like that for that young of a child:)

I think The Green Ember series might be okay and the Wilderking might be okay depending on how sensitive he is. The others I would wait on till he's a little older as they are more intense. My younger son was a bit more sensitive to scary/hard things and I think he was 8 when he started reading some of these series. He really enjoyed the Lighthouse Family series by Cynthia Rylant and the Freddy the Pig series by Walter Brooks and the Boxcar Children series around the time he was reading and enjoying Hidden Scrolls.

I’m looking to buy any series for my twin boys 10th birthday. Do these series have to be read in order? I don’t want to buy 2 sets, hence looking for series that don’t have to necessarily be read in order.

Hi Glory, I would recommend getting The Green Ember with The Wreck and Rise of Whitson Mariner. They are the first of the main series and the pre-main story series in The Green Ember world. That way your boys can each have one to share without any spoilers :)

Omw Wingfeather 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I finally read it last year for the first time. Book 1 left me a little like “eh it’s fine, but what’s the fuss”—then I read book 2 and was wrecked to my core in the best way. It’s one of those I wish I could read it for the first time again and again. Loveeeeee 🤗🤗💙💙

Thank you for the suggestions! My kids are getting to the point where they are reading faster than I can keep up with, so I rely heavily on recommendations right now.
