Using Morning Time in Your Charlotte Mason Homeschool

A short how-to that works for every form

Morning time has been an integral part of our home education for almost as many years as we’ve been homeschooling (going on 11 now!). It simplified our days and, even now with two teens, serves us well but in a different fashion.

The discussions, the delight, and the way it has brought us closer together as a family through Truth, goodness, and beauty leave me in awe and wonder. Homeschooling has been such a blessing, especially considering I went into it reluctantly! I do credit studying all the riches, second only to God’s grace, with helping me stay the course.

I hope you find joy and delight in morning time (by whatever name) in your family, too!

Our favorite morning time curricula are:

The Hobbit has been a family favorite of ours for many years. We created this 6 week set of morning time plans in order to spend a lengthy amount of time adventuring with Bilbo.
With two adventurous boys, it only made sense to do a deep dive into legendary swords and the brave people who wielded them. This six week set of morning time plans delighted my boys and they still talk about the stories we enjoyed and the battles that ensued as they acted them out!
As my boys have gotten older, tea times have become less frequent but are still as rich and wonderful. I created this Tea of the Month guide for other families who are also wanting to keep the delight of tea time amidst crazy schedules.
