5 ways to engage children in chores

How to Make Chores More Fun

Let’s face it, chores are not the most fun thing to with your day. Kids find doing chores boring, hard, and sometimes overwhelming. However, chores are a part of life and the ability to perform them quickly, efficiently, and with a good attitude, will go a long way for years to come. Everyone enjoys the benefits of a tidy and orderly home.

To help your child learn these valuable skills while having fun, here are five ideas you can implement today!

  1. The Chore Race: Assign each child a task or a room and then set a timer for 10-15 minutes. The goal is to get as much done in that timeframe. The winner can have his choice of chores the next day. Setting a timer will also show your child that chores can be done efficiently in a short amount of time.
