LEGO Nativity for Christmastide!
Here's a fun activity for your family to do together during Christmastide! The 12 Days of Christmas are December 25th - January 6th when we celebrate Epiphany (that's when the Wise Men show up!)
Gather your supplies listed below and follow the picture tutorial to put them together!
You will need:
1 green base plate
1 green 8x16 plate
5 male minifigures
1 female minifigure
For Baby Jesus:
Blank minifigure head
1 white 1x1 brick
For the manger:
6 tan 1x1 round bricks
2 tan 3x3 ¼ circle plates
1 tan 2x2 tile
3 tan 1x1 bricks
1 tan 1x1 brick with knobs
1 yellow 1x3 tile
For the star:
1 yellow 1x1 round brick
1 yellow 1x3 plate
2 yellow 1x1 plates
1 yellow 1x1 round plates
2 yellow 1x1 roof tiles
For the stable:
6 tan 1x8 bricks
2 tan 1x6 bricks
2 tan 1x6 bricks with arch
4 tan 1x3x2 bricks with bow
4 tan 1x1 bricks
2 tan 1x4 bricks
6 brown 1x8 plates
28 brown 2x2 roof tiles with 45º angle
2 brown 2x2 tiles
1 brown 1x2 roof tile
2 brown 1x2 tiles with knobs
Tips:
Cut construction paper to create period clothing for the minifigures.
Baby Jesus is made from a blank minifigure head and a 1x1 brick.
The gifts from the wise men can be any pieces. We used silver and gold cones but it would be fun to see what children could create.
Challenge children to create animals for the scene. We created a sheep using white 1x2 plates and a black specialty
